A Broadway show is a perfect night out — until you are sitting in tunnel traffic or circling for a parking garage. Here is how Freehold theatergoers make show night easy.
How far is Broadway from Freehold?
Times Square is roughly 48 miles from Freehold. Without traffic the drive takes about an hour, but crossing into Manhattan before an evening curtain can take much longer, so plan ahead.
Your options
- Drive yourself — then pay for parking in Midtown and drive home late at night
- NJ Transit bus — buses run from Freehold to the Port Authority Bus Terminal, a short walk from many theaters, but you are on the bus schedule for the ride home
- Car service — door to door, with a pickup time and place set in advance so you walk out of the theater and straight to your car
Tips for a great show night
- Plan to arrive at the theater 30 minutes before curtain
- Book dinner nearby before the show and tell us both addresses
- Agree on a pickup spot a block or two from the theater to avoid the post-show crowd
- Groups of 4 or more ride together comfortably in an SUV or van
